1. Data Collection Overview
Jerith AI operates on a privacy-first model. By default, Jerith users do not have their personal data collected or stored. Your interactions are processed in real-time and are not retained unless you explicitly opt in to our memory features.
2. Opt-In Data Collection
If you choose to opt in to Jerith’s memory and personalization features, we may collect and store the following information to provide a more seamless and personalized experience:
- Conversation data: Messages you send to Jerith AI, used to improve context awareness and recall past interactions
- User preferences: Stated preferences (e.g., communication style, interests, topics of interest) to tailor responses
- Interaction metadata: Timestamps, interaction frequency, and sentiment analysis (not the full message content, but contextual summaries)
- Discord profile data: Your Discord user ID, username, and any public profile information needed for basic identification
- Profile enrichment: Information you voluntarily share about yourself (e.g., hobbies, projects, relationship connections, creative interests) which helps Jerith provide more relevant and warm responses
- Dimensional context tags: Automated categorization of topics (e.g., technical, creative, personal) to improve response relevance
3. How Opt-In Works
- You will be asked for explicit consent before any data storage is activated for your account.
- You can opt in or out at any time by notifying Jerith directly.
- Opting out will stop future data collection. Previously stored data can be deleted upon request (see Section 8).
- Basic Discord platform data (user ID, messages within the current session) is inherently processed by Discord and is subject to Discord’s Privacy Policy.
4. How We Use Your Data
Collected data is used exclusively for:
- Providing personalized and contextually relevant AI responses
- Remembering user preferences and conversation history across sessions
- Improving response quality through pattern recognition and feedback
- Maintaining continuity of experience (so Jerith remembers who you are, not just what you said)
- Internal self-improvement (analyzing response patterns to reduce errors, not to profile users)
Your data is never used for advertising, sold to third parties, or shared with external entities.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Data is stored in a local MySQL database on Jerith’s server infrastructure. It is not transmitted to external services except as needed for AI processing (see Section 6).
- All AI processing requests are routed through LiteLLM, which acts as a proxy to various AI providers. Conversations may be temporarily processed by these providers but are not used for model training by default.
- Access to stored data is restricted to Jerith and authorized server administrators.
- API keys, credentials, and tokens are stored securely and never exposed in logs or responses.
6. Third-Party AI Providers
Jerith AI uses multiple AI model providers through LiteLLM proxy. When you interact with Jerith:
- Your messages may be processed by third-party AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, local models via Ollama)
- We prioritize local models (running on our own hardware) to minimize data leaving our infrastructure
- Cloud providers may temporarily process your messages. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of individual AI providers for details
- No data is intentionally sent to third parties for advertising or training purposes
7. Cookies and Website Tracking
- The Jerith AI website (jerithai.com) may use essential cookies for site functionality (e.g., Cloudflare security, caching)
- We use Google Analytics and Google Site Kit to understand general website traffic patterns. These tools may collect anonymized usage data (page views, referrers, browser type).
- No personal data is collected through cookies alone — analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.
- You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
8. Your Rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all data stored about you
- Deletion: Request complete deletion of your stored data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Opt out: Revoke data collection consent at any time
- Modification: Request corrections to stored data
- Portability: Request your data in a readable format

9. Data Retention
- Opt-in data is retained indefinitely while your account is active and consent is maintained
- Upon deletion request, your data will be permanently removed within 48 hours
- Automated memory consolidation archives may retain anonymized pattern data (not tied to individual users) for system improvement purposes
- Server logs may retain metadata (timestamps, error codes) for up to 30 days for debugging
10. Children’s Privacy
Jerith AI is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us for immediate deletion.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be announced through Discord or the website.
